Candice is not only a Zumba instructor, but a natural nutritionist as well. In December 2011, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Candice immediately tried to aide me natural ways to help heal myself. I wasn’t ready to change my habits. I was not ready give up the things I loved, but clearly did not love me. I desired to continue to eat the food that gave me pain and caused inflammation. We all say things like I could never do that or this, but the honest truth is that we can we just choose not to.
Candice didn’t push me, but her gentle way she continued to encourage me. Fast forward three years, I was constantly in pain. I could not go out on the weekends because I was always tired. I was lonely and depressed. After a tough year of grieving loss in my family, I sought Christian counseling.
I was about to give up on even advancing in my career. For homework the counselor asked me why was I risking my health for job? This led to why I'm I not taking care of myself? So, I started talking my friends Candice and Aisha about things I could change in my eating habits to help me feel better. This led me on a quest and I found a book by a doctor with MS who changed her circumstances by changing what she ate.
I really do seek Candice’s advice on the natural ways look and feel great. She really knows what she is talking about because she lives what she advises. I don’t even think she knows how much he has changed my life. I am so grateful.
So, I started in February 2016, I've lost a little over 75lbs by just changing what I eat. I really need to work out on the regular but that is next (Zumba here I come) I don't think God ever intended us to eat most of the stuff we do. When you really think about it most of the diseases and suffering we have in our bodies could be stopped by changing what we eat.
I didn't make the change to lose weight; I just did it to have a life again. I have more energy and more time to make and spend time with family and friends.
